Calexico, California/ Calexico Police Department notified that officers helped recovering a stolen truck.
In a post on their social media, they informed that their day shift officers were out doing what they do best (patroling and serving the community) when they spotted a stolen Chevy Silverado cruising around town like it was on a Sunday drive.
This information was released on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
The Silverado eventually pulled into a commercial parking lot… and that’s when the driver decided it was track-and-field tryouts time, according to the post.
Spoiler alert: it didn’t work.
After a short foot chase, officers caught up with 21-year-old Nestor Zavaleta, who was booked into county jail for resisting arrest and possession of a stolen vehicle.
