Yuma, Arizona.- A man from San Diego, California who went missing from July 15 was found by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team without live.
According to the information released by Tania Pavlak, Public Affairs Specialist with the law enforcement agency, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at approximately 2:45 AM, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person in the Mittry Lake area.
The missing person, identified as Ramsay McNeal, 55, of San Diego, CA, was last seen near the boat ramp at Mittry Lake on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at approximately 7:00 PM. Ramsay left the area on foot leaving his phone, medications and personal belongings behind.
Mr. McNeal was described as a black male, approximately 6’1” tall, weighing approximately 260 lbs., with brown hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing brown camouflaged pants, long white sleeve shirt, and water shoes.
The press reléase mentioned Mr. McNeal apparently suffered from a mental health condition.
After continued search efforts throughout the day on Thrusday, July 16.
With the assistance of the YCSO and YPD Drone Unit, the missing person, Ramsay McNeal, was located deceased. Next of kin has been notified.
