Border communities from Arizona and California invited to the 6th Mayors´ International Bike Ride

YUMA, Arizona.- For the sixth consecutive year, the Mayors’ International Bike Ride an initiative created by the Mayor of Yuma, Douglas Nicholls, for which the community from both sides of the border is already invited to participate will be held on October 22, 2022.
The walk was created by Nicholls to promote tourism and economic benefits in the so-called mega region, for which the government representatives of the border municipalities members of the named 4FrontED initiative also participate, that is, Yuma, Wellton, Somerton, San Luis, Yuma County, and the Quechan and Cocopah Tribes of Arizona; and El Centro and Calexico, California; and on the Mexican side Mexicali, Baja California.
The event will be held on Saturday, October 22, starting at 8:00 in the morning, departing from Yuma from where the different towns of Arizona will be traveled to the South, to enter Mexico through San Luis Río Colorado and finish at its facilities in the well-known Benito Juárez Park.
Previously, during the pandemic, federal authorities allowed Mexicans to enter the United States extraordinarily to attend and tour the ride, but this time it will finally be possible to attend without any restrictions such as those that had been imposed by COVID-19.
The starting point will be the Yuma Civic Center, where those interested in participating can register from 7:00 in the morning.
According to the organizers, minors are welcome, but accompanied by an adult.
Likewise, those who attend from the United States are advised to carry their appropriate documents to re-enter the country, if they decide to end the journey to Mexico.
