City of Yuma seeking input from public about fireworks

Yuma, Arizona. – The City of Yuma is looking for the public input on illegal firework usage.

State law allows residents to use legal consumer fireworks around Christmas and New Years and the Fourth of July 4. After each holiday, the City receives complaints from residents regarding the excessive use of illegal fireworks.

The City invites residents to take a short anonymous survey to provide City leadership with a better understanding of fireworks use and to inform future decisions.

As a reminder only ground-based consumer fireworks are allowed to be used per State Law. This means that fireworks intended to explode, detonate in the air, or to fly above the ground are illegal to use.
