Calexico Police Department Officers responded to a criminal threats incident at a residence on the 1000 block of P. Mendoza Street.
During the investigation of the event registered on December 1, 2024, officers seized an unregistered firearm from the property.
Investigators later obtained a search warrant for the residence, leading to the discovery of additional contraband.
A 48-year-old resident, identified as Esteban Santos, was taken into custody.
Santos, a convicted felon, faces multiple felony charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm.
He was subsequently charged and booked into Imperial County Jail.
