Yuma, Arizona – On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Yuma Fire Department (YFD) units responded to the City of Yuma Fleet Services yard after dispatchers confirmed a truck on fire through a city security camera.
Upon arrival, crews found a utility truck heavily involved in fire, with flames concentrated in the engine compartment and cab. Two nearby vehicles were identified as exposure risks. Firefighters quickly went to work, extinguishing the fire and protecting the adjacent exposures. The fire was brought under control rapidly, with damage largely contained to the vehicle of origin. One neighboring vehicle sustained minor heat damage.
Good job by YFD crews for containing the fire and preventing further spread. YFD also extends thanks to the Yuma Police Department for ensuring the facility gate was open, allowing for quick and unobstructed access to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
