Yuma, AZ.- The Yuma High School Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program is partnering with Yuma Elementary School District One (YESD1) to host an AVID night at Fourth Avenue Jr. High School for all north-end AVID schools on November 12, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. in the Fourth Avenue Jr. High cafeteria.
“The goal is to engage AVID students, families, and educators from multiple schools, strengthen vertical alignment, and promote family involvement,” YUHSD AVID Coordinator Christal Buckley said.
Families can expect dinner, activity stations, showcases, and more, all while learning about AVID and strengthening family-school connections across all grade levels.
North-end schools participating include: Yuma High School, Fourth Avenue Junior High School, Roosevelt Elementary School, G.W. Carver Elementary School, Pecan Grove Elementary School, and O.C. Johnson Elementary School.
